The Halabja Genocide was a brutal attack on an innocent town because they were Kurdish. Throughout my research I have learned a lot about how brutal their deaths were. They way that the people died was terrible because they died a slow and painful death. It makes me and many other people sad to think of how and why they died. But it is very confusing for why the Iraqis killed so many Kurds just to gain land. I also learned how bad people still suffer today. For example, after the attack, people fled out of the area and into other countries. They are still scared to this day because they are scared it is going to happen again. Also, people who did survive, still suffer birth defects and heath problems. It is scary to think that this happened to such an innocent and quiet town for no reason and needs to be fixed. I think people need to help Halabja repair what has been done and help the people.
